What devices can be connected to Woojer Edge?

Woojer Edge series products can be connected to any standard audio source via a 3.5mm cable, USB-C connection, or via a Bluetooth connection. The Vest Edge™ works in stereo mode, dividing the transducers into two groups - 3 left & 3 right. (See main differences between the Vest and the Strap below)

Do I need to install a driver or a software?

No! Just plug & play.

Does it work with mobile phone?

Absolutely! Both products connect to any standard audio source. To connect to game consoles, you can use either the console’s controller output jack or a TV audio output jack. For wireless connection, you’ll need an external Bluetooth transmitter.

Does it work with a PC?

Yes. You’ll just need to connect it through a 3.5mm audio / USB jack, or through a Bluetooth connection. No driver is required, no setup is needed.

Will it work with VR devices?

Yes. Both products can be easily connected to VR devices, whether it’s a stationary or a room-scale VR. In certain VR headsets (e.g.: Oculus Quest), you’ll have to connect external headphones instead of the HMD built-in speakers/headphones. Some setups require applying audio-mirroring on your PC.

What are the main differences between Vest Edge™ and Strap Edge™?

Strap Edge™ has one OSCI™ TRX52 transducer, Vest Edge™ has six. Vest gives you a stereo haptic experience, since its transducers are divided to two groups – left and right. In the Strap Edge™ the transducer can be positioned on your spine, on your sternum, or on your waist. The Vest’s transducers’ positions are: two on the sides, two on the back, two on the front. Strap Edge™ has one Lithium-ion 3350mAh, 4.2V battery. The Vest Edge™ has 4 X Lithium-ion battery pack (3350mAh, 14.5V).

Will it work with my wireless headphones?

For mobile, when using Bluetooth headphones - it’s possible as long as your device supports dual Bluetooth connection (e.g.: Samsung Galaxy S9). Otherwise, you’ll need an external dual Bluetooth transmitter which should be purchased separately. For PC, when using Bluetooth headphones or other RF headphones - you’ll need to configure your operating system to output to both the headphones and the Woojer. You might be needing an external dual Bluetooth transmitter. For game consoles with Bluetooth headphones or other RF headphones - depends on your specific setup, you might need to use a dual Bluetooth transmitter, or use your TV sound output jack.

No.

Is there any latency?

Woojer Edge products are equipped with Qualcomm™ CSR APTX low-latency Bluetooth 5.0 chip. This chip is especially designed to provide high-quality, low-latency sound stream. However, to get the best results, your audio source must support APTX low-latency as well. Of course, other Bluetooth audio protocols and former Bluetooth versions (A2DP / Bluetooth 4.2) are supported as well.

Is it safe?

Can I use Woojer products if I have a pacemaker?

No, in the same manner that pacemakers must not have any magnets in their vicinity. (Woojer products contain permanent magnets)

Does it make noise?

No. It is silent to the outside – so you can play your favorite game for hours on end, at any sensation level you want and still never disturb anyone.

Can I watch movies on TV with Woojer?

Of course. You can connect your Vest Edge™ or Strap Edge™ to your TV or mobile to enjoy an immersive sensory experience. For TV, use the 3.5mm output jack or a Bluetooth connection. Note that not all TV sets have these output types.

No. They can be wiped down with a wet cloth.

Both Strap and Vest are designed to be “One size fits all”. The adjusting straps stretch up to 65 inches.

Are the vibration level and the volume levels adjustable?

Yes, the vibration volume levels are independently controlled by the buttons on the front panel of the device.

I use USB headphones. Can it work together with my headphones?

Yes. You’ll need to configure your operating system to output to both devices simultaneously. If your headphones have a separated base station, and it contains an additional 3.5mm output – you can use this one for your Woojer.

What is included in the shipping costs?

Shipping cost includes courier costs, however international customs, VAT and taxes may apply for non-US shipments and are NOT included.

Will you offer an EU friendly shipping add-on?

Yes! After the campaign ends, we will offer an EU Friendly add-on to our EU backers where they could choose to pay the VAT (and VAT only) for their total pledge amount (reward + shipping), In this case, we (Woojer) will cover all other custom/tax fees that may apply and provide our EU backers a transparent and hassle-free process.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

When you reset your password, you may need to clear your cache and temporary browsing history so that your old password is removed from your saved passwords. Next, use this link to reset your password.

You may not have an account. You can create an account by clicking the account confirmation link in any survey you have. You can also get started with signing up for a BackerKit account here.

If you have created an account and have gone through the previous steps, but are still having trouble, please reach out to us via the contact form. Let us know any important details (browser type, mobile device or computer, OS, etc).

Do I need a BackerKit account to fill out/receive my survey?

You do not need a BackerKit account to access your surveys through BackerKit BackerKit accounts help to manage and keep track of surveys and are especially helpful for folks who have backed multiple projects.

Do I have an account?

Try account recovery here.

You may or may not have an account set up, but you can access the Account Request Confirmation from the bottom of the confirmation page of any of your surveys.

How do I update my email address in my backer account?

Contact BackerKit support by signing in to your BackerKit account, and then clicking on “Need Help?” in the top right side of the page! We will ask you to verify that you are the account holder; and to provide the new email address to which you would like to update your account. You can verify by your ownership of your backer account by either of the following methods:

* Sending us an email from the old email address, specifying the new email address for your backer account.

* Sending us a screenshot of your original pledge that shows your backer number on Kickstarter (or Indiegogo, etc).

How do I delete my backer account?

While signed in to your BackerKit account, click on “Need Help?” on the top right side of the page.

If you delete your account, you will still be able to access your surveys in the future -- no account needed.

A backer account helps backers (like you!) to keep their surveys organized. Oftentimes, people who support projects that use crowdfunding support multiple projects across crowdfunding platforms. Any project that uses BackerKit will appear in your BackerKit account, and will allow you to help keep track of updates such as address, items, timelines, support, etc.
